The ecofriendly Bamboo laptop from Asustek going to be available to the public soon. On thursday, the company has shown off the first 12-inch bamboo laptop, which is part of Asus U6V series with Intel Core 2 Duo microprocessor, and Microsoft’s Windows Vista OS.
THe Bamboo laptop is going to be available at the next IT show for NT$59,900 (US$1,802) each. For US and Eurpoe, the laptop will be launced at a later date.
Acer to Release 10-inch Aspire One Next Year

According to Digitimes, Scott Lin, Acer Taiwan president has announced that the Acer Aspire One with 10-inch screen is releasing on Febuary / March next year.
Besides that, the company is also planning to release another 14.1-inch notebook with LED backlight display this year in Taiwan, and followed by the 12.1, 13.3 and 15.6-inch LED-based laptops next year.

Dell Adds New Colors and 32GB SSD option to Inspiron Mini 9

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 in pink/red, and also the platinum version with 32GB solid state drive which were previously available only in Japan, is now available in the U.S.
The Pretty Pink and Cherry Red version of Inspiron Mini 9 netbook will cost $25 more than the Obsidian Black or Alpine White version, while the the 32GB SSD upgrade will cost you an extra $100.

Epson is definitely one of the latest company to join the netbook game. Just recently, a netbook from the company named Epson C is released in Japan for only around $479. The specs for Epson C netbook is as follow:
- Intel Atom N270 Processor
- 10.2-inch LCD with WSVGA resolution
- Intel 945GSE Express Chipset
- 160GB HDD
- 1GB RAM
- USB 2.0
- WiFi
Epson has not announced when the netbook will be available in the U.S. yet.
Samsung 14-inch X460 Laptop Now Available in U.S.

Samsung X460 is the company’s latest 14-inch laptop which is recently made available in the U.S.
There are 2 models for the X460 laptop: 44G which features a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 processor & 250 HDD, and 44P that comes with 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo P8400 and a 320GB HDD. Other than the processor and storage space, the rest of the specs for this 4-pound laptop is similar: NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS 256MB dedicated graphics, 3GB of DDR3 memory, a built-in 1.3MP webcam, a DVD burner, 6-cell battery and LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
The Samsung X460 laptop is currently available in NewEgg, and the price is set at $1499.99 for X460-44G and $1699.99 for X460-44P.
Dell expands Art House series laptops with (PRODUCT) Red designs

Dell is releasing 3 new artwork designs for their Studio series laptop as a part of the (PRODUCT) Red initiative, which is designed to allot money from each purchase to The Global Fund’s efforts to fight AIDS in Africa.
Designed by Bruce Mau, Joseph Amedokpo, and Siobhan Gunning, the artworks are infused into the laptop covers, to ensure the design always remains vibrant. They will be available for both the Studio 15 and 17 with a starting price of $649 and $799 respectively. $20 for each product sold will be donated to The Global Fund.

Dell Launches Vostro A860 in U.S.

Dell has recently launched another new laptop model in the U.S. — the Vostro A860.
This new Vostro series laptop has an 15.6-inch screen with 1366 x 768 resolution, an option of Pentium Dual Core or Intel Celeron processor, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, up to 160GB hard drive, a GM965 chipset with GMA X3100+ integrated graphics, and a combo drive or DVD burner.
The Vostro A860 is now available for purchase on Dell’s website for $379.

Acer Aspire One in Black Hits Germany

Acer Aspire One in black is now available in Germany. Nothing special about it, except for the color being all black. Other features and specs are exactly the same as other Aspire One 110. The price is set at €400 (or about $500).
