Dell Adds WiMax Option to Studio Notebooks

Dell started to provide WiMAX option for the Studio 17 and Studio XPS 16 notebooks. Both can be upgraded to Clearwire or Sprint 4G networks for $60 or less. WiMAX is capable of up to 13Mbps downloads and 3Mbps uploads. Also the upgrade includes the installation of 802.11n Wi-Fi for no additional cost, if not installed already.

Sharp just announced a new netbook model, Mebius PC-NJ70A, which comes with a impressive optical sensor LCD pad that blow our mind! Sharp has actually tossed an 854 x 480 resolution LCD right onto the palm rest, which automatically adjusts brightness based on surrounding light and can likely act as a secondary display for things like adjusting an equalizer with your digits. Other than that the PC-NJ70A netbook comes with a standard 10.1-inch screen, an Atom N270 CPU, an Intel 945GSE Express Chipset, 1GB of RAM, and 160GB of HDD.
MSI Announced 14-inch Gaming Laptop

MSI has introduced a new 14-inch gaming laptop, GX403. It comes with a Core 2 Duo Processor, NVIDIA’s GeForce GT 130M (512MB) graphics card, Turbo Drive overclocking, 4GB of system RAM, gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, HDMI output, 4-in-1 card reader, USB / eSATA sockets and an optional Blu-ray drive to boot.
No word on the availability and pricing for MSI GX403 yet. But if you wish to know more about this gaming laptop, check out the official product page on MSI.
Dell Netbook Roadmap Revealed

Dell has released a few netbook models to the market since last year. And recently, the company has leaked a full set of netbook roadmap slides which reveals the its plan to launch another 11-inch netbook by end of Q3 this year. Other than that, the Mini 10 will be getting a few changes in short term, which includes:
- option for Vista
- option for 3G modem
- potentially a 1.86GHz Atom on April 17th
- use of 1.6GHz Atom N270 SKU processor that will arrive in May

Dell To Fight Breast Cancer With Promise Pink Laptop

As part of Dell’s continued commitment to community involvement, the company has recently announced the partnership with Susan G. Komen for the cure, the world’s largest breast cancer organization, to help raising fund for breast cancer research and community-based programs for breast health education and screening.
For every Promise Pink laptop or Mini sold, Dell will donate $5 to the foundation, and promised a guaranteed minimum amount of $250,000 of donation in 2009. If you are getting a pink laptop for your loved one on this Valentine’s day, you might as well go ahead and pick a promise pink laptop from Dell and do a good deed at the same time!

Apple to Release 15-inch MacBook Air?

According to a chinese blog, apple.pro, Apple is going to release a larger-screened MacBook Air, which will probably be 15-inch. According to them, more information will be revealed on the second half of the year.
Apple.pro has posted a quite a number of rumors in the past. While some of them did turn out to be true, not all are accurate.
